Gave up halfway through. Not what I would call great, not to mention spelling and punctuation errors. Give me more like "Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter", which is very well written without dwelling on characters' miserable childhoods.

As I stated in a previous review I am extremely happy to see this author republishing her earlier novels along with new thrillers. Brother Lowdown is another fine entry in the Gothic Thriller that S.K. Epperson made popular in the 1990s. All of her books were originally published in hardcover and all of them are fantastic. I have read all of the Epperson novels, new and old, and have never been disappointed. Some have elements of the supernatural, and some just have great plots with nice twists at the end. I continue to purchased all the editions to read again. That is a testament to the author's work - to have readers want to re-read novels that are 20 years old.
Well written, easy read, interesting characters, exciting ending.
Another great read!!!!! I hope these books keep coming and i Can't wait to read the next one. I reccomend
